The ICPHH delegation was invited to participate in the festivities marking the liberation of Yerushalayim in the 1967 Six-Day War. The delegation, including reps from NY, Washington, Toronto, and Los Angeles, met with Israeli officials such as Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein, Minister of Housing & Construction Yoav Galant, Culture Minister Miri Regev, Minister of Religions Rabbi Dovid Azoulai, MK Yoav Ben Zur, and MK Dudi Amsalem, Chair of the Knesset Interior Committee.
The 3rd annual breakfast meeting hosted by Harav Moshe Tuvia Lieff, the Rav of Agudas Yisroel, Bais Binyomin to support the efforts of the International Committee for the Preservation of Har Hazeisim (ICPHH).
Images from the ICPHH sponsored VIP tour of Har Hazeisim for participants of the Yarchei Kallah of Agudath Israel of America. The tour visited Kivrei Tzaddikim and sites relevant to the days of the Bais Hamikdash. Then there was a security briefing by senior police and military officials as well as key officials from the national and municipal governments.
A core group of ICPHH recently met with a number of officials in Israel to discuss efforts to protect and secure Har HaZeitim.
At a special asifah on Sunday at the Agudah of Avenue L, Agudas Yisroel Bais Binyomin, convened by the International Committee for the Preservation of Har Hazeisim (ICPHH), an overflow crowd of more than 600 people heard appeals from members of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah and other notables to secure the violence-plagued Har Hazeisim.
A host of issues face Har HaZeitim on a daily basis: violence of local youth towards visitors and mourners; desecration of graves; and inadequate police patrols.
