Minister of Internal Security Gilad Erdan has announced a NIS 1 billion program to bring security and law and order to East Jerusalem. Some 1260 police will be hired, many to be deployed on Har Hazeitim.

Jerusalem…MK Moshe Gafni (UTJ), chairman of the Knesset Finance Committee, has approved a NIS 2 million to upgrade security on Har Hazeitim. The funds will be used by the Ministry of Housing and Construction to bolster its private security force on the cemetery. MK Gafni had earlier approved a NIS 2.5 million for the construction of a fence around HH.
